Ryan gives great hugs!

We had a great time hanging out in NYC this week with Ryan Langston and his family.  Both of our families are excited that all of these doors have opened to help the world see that kids like Ryan and Noah who are born with Down syndrome are ok!

About Rick Smith

Hi, I'm Noah's Dad and I'm passionate about giving the world a window into our life as we raise our son who was born with Down syndrome. I also enjoy connecting with other families, so let's stay connected.

  1. Love the pictures! Thank you Ryan for sharing your beautiful bright smile with the world, and to Noah’s Dad, thank you for being the change you want to see in the world and thank you for showing the world that Down syndrome really is o.k. Our children are beautiful inside and out, we are blessed.

  2. Scott and Vanessa says

Yes they are OKAY! These pictures are so cute! The only thing missing was my favorite little Noah. We are so glad you got to meet the Langston’s and their beautiful children! Thank you for sharing!

  3. Joe Rinaldo says

Ryan rocks. Noah rocks. All of us whose livea are made richer by our kids with Down rock!Am I right or am I right?

  4. I really love your blog! been reading for quite some time. I have a 16 and 17 year old and it seems that the Toys-r-Us catalog had special needs children many years ago. Belive me – we were the family waiting for the big ol SUMMER BOOK….HAHA. So this story -while great – came as no surprise to me. I wish I had those catalogs, but I remember thinking “that’s great” since my kiddos both were “role-model” children in a school district pre-K special needs classroom. We had no one with down syndrome but many other special needs and to this day my kids have more compassion and acceptance for those with special needs based on their individual 2 year experience. Again – I think Toys-r-Us has been inclusive for years.

  5. Hey Bro,
Congrats on a very successful press junket!! Thanks for all you are doing to raise support and awareness for our kiddos.
You’ve probably seen this already but another one of our buddies owns and operates his own restaurant in New Mexico. Here’s the link.
    Enjoy, and thanks again,
    Jud–Chase and Grady’s dad

  6. Aww… Ryan is so cute. You’re right people like Ryan, Noah and I are ok we are just different. I always tell people different is cool because it is.
