One of the many awesome things about being a first time dad is the front row seat you get to have for all the changes a baby goes through as he develops.
Noah’s only 7 1/2 months old and it’s been amazing to watch him grow up right before my eyes.
In that short time I’ve been in awe as I’ve watched him learn to do so many things for the first time.
Cry.
Eat.
Eat yams.
Roll over.
Talk.
Run a 10K (just seeing if you were paying attention.)
And the list goes on, and on.
Being a first time dad is amazing.
I have to be very careful when I am around him because I know if I pick him up I will instantly be transported to midnight.
seriously.
Every time I pick up Noah I find myself in a baby time warp. It never starts that way. I reach down to pick him up to give him a hug and a kiss before I head out to take care of something that I need to do.
Then I sit down for a second to love on him a little bit.
And the next thing I know, it’s time for dinner. Then it’s time for bed. (I keep loving on him.) Then…it’s midnight! If I want to get anything done I have learned I have to walk out of the house without even looking at him. (I haven’t done a very good job with this .)
I’m just amazed at every little thing that he does. Every smile, every look, every new expressions. It leaves me in awe.
Most of all I’m reminded of how great of a God we have. I simply can’t believe he would give a guy like me such an amazing boy (and wife) like this. Everything that Noah does reminds me the unique ability that only God has to create something amazing as a baby Noah.
It’s humbling. And forever grateful to our great God.

I've heard songs on the radio that aren't as good as this! LOL. Keep sending the "moments". I'm loving every one of them.

BTW, I have a daughter who is 37 and has Down, and I have written a couple of books with characters who have Down. One is available on Amazon - it's called A SPY AT HOME. Just FYI.
