Noah's Dad

One of the first adjectives that pops into my head when I think about our little boy is joy. It doesn’t matter what this kid is doing, or how difficult it is, you can bet on one thing….he’s going to have a blast while he does it! And this isn’t something new…just look at the smile on his face while working hard at occupational therapy at only a few months old.

He’s been working really hard lately on learning how to walk and he’s almost there (GO NOAH!) If you’re a parent you know how many bumps and bruises a kid gets while learning to take those monumental first steps. Let me just tell you, I’ve never seen a kid nose dive into the carpet / grass / crib / kitchen tile, / bathtub etc as many times as this kid has and almost always pop back up laughing and smiling. It’s seriously amazing. (And maybe just a tiny bit not-normal!) 

I think about the countless hours of physical / occupational / speech therapy visits this kid goes to (20 appointments a month!) and how hard he works while he is there, and yet he has a smile on his face the entire time he’s there. It’s unbelievable!

I wish you could see this little boy at home. It’s like having a ball of sunshine in our house. Other than when we lay him down to sleep (which is a whole other blog post we can’t get him to stop playing, laughing, smiling, and dancing. Lots, and lots…and lots of dancing!

I’m seriously addicted to his joy. It’s contiguous!

Just in case you couldn’t tell, I love, love, love, love, love being this little boy’s dad. He feels my heart with a joy that words can’t describe. Ahhhh….isn’t it sweet to be a parent!?
