Life Is Way Too Fun

Life has never been more fun.  Ever.

If you polk a hole in me joy will ooze out…….so be careful.

Gosh, I love my family.

Hi, I'm Noah's Dad and I'm passionate about giving the world a window into our life as we raise our son who was born with Down syndrome. I also enjoy connecting with other families, so let's stay connected.

  • I absolutely love this photo. You should have it framed. I have been silently following along in recent weeks. Our baby girl has down syndrome. She is almost four months old. You have been a great encouragement. Here is a link to some recent pics of our sweetie and a little video when she was seven weeks.

Tomorrow, the 21st, I plan to post pics of her baby shower from last week with her in attendance. She came too early to have it beforehand. http://www.sewingwithtrudy.blogspot.com . I have six other children. If you scroll down to previous posts, you can see pics of each of our children holding her. Priceless. If you read that post, you will see that I wrote it when I was quite distraught and in shock at the diagnosis. I am much better now and am processing things now. I am enjoying her and feel she is a real blessing.

    • Trudy,

Thanks so much for you comment. We really appreciate your encouragement. It greatly blesses us.

Your little girl is SOOO adorable!!

So glad to be on this journey with you guys.

  • I also wanted to share with you that my children watch Noah's videos with me and when I start playing one, they all run to the computer saying, " Baby Noah!" and other things like, "he's so cute," and " Wow! Look what he can do." They love him.

Here is the link to my post when I was distraught that I mentioned in my previous comment: It is also part of our story. It does not contain my initial reaction when the doctor broke the news to me. The story starts when she and I were taking a nap in my room afterwards and tragedy struck. But in the end, God came through.

    • That's so fun, and really encouraging .

It makes me smile that you mentioned this phrase, "Wow! Look what he can do." That's the same thing I said when Noah was born and I had no idea what Down syndrome was all about. I was looking and looking for a glimpse of what our future could be like, and got connected with some friends from our old church (and who have an awesome blog --->http://funhouseblog.com.

They have a son, Seth, who is a few years older than Noah and I remember watching him playing the wii one day and saying to my wife...Wow!! Look what this little guy can do. He seems to "normal!" :) Since then I've learned a lot about Down syndrome, and especially that they are a lot more "normal" than many would ever think! :)

Thanks for blessing me with those kinds words. Tell your kid-o's we all say hello! :)

  • I know what you mean. I'm realizing that my baby is normal, which I did not expect when I heard the diagnosis. Thanks for the link to your friend's blog. I'll check it out.. And thank for coming to meet Samantha. Keep up your awesome ministry. I know you are helping a lot of people.

  • I love your blog too. We have been blessed with our sweet son who also has Down Syndrome. He is the baby of three other wonderful blessings in our family! God is good...all the time, and He is faithful to raise these beautiful children up to bring glory to His name and to those around them!
