In honor of father’s day we decided to give Noah his next big meal – a banana!
I know, I know, the “rules” say you’re supposed to give your baby bland foods like vegetables for several weeks before moving on to something nice and sweet like a banana. However, since we had some bananas that were getting “soft,” and Noah did so well last time, we decided to give him a treat! (Plus, my wife is a pediatrician so if she’s cool with it, so am I!) 🙂
It’s so fun watching Noah have so many new experiences; eating new foods, swimming, dancing, talking, it’s seriously been a blast!
Another thing that our family has had a blast with is Skype! It’s very important to Abbie, and I that Noah’s grandparents are involved in his life. Since both of our parents live in other cities, Skype has been an invaluable tool for us! One great thing about Skype is we can use our iPhones to chat with Noah’s grandparents (who don’t have iPhones) via their computer. It really works out well!
By the way, as you can see in the video, my wife is a modren day superwomen! She can feed Noah, Skype, cook dinner, take out the dogs, and give me a hug all at the same time! I love my family so much!
This father’s day was much more fun then last father’s day. Last father’s day Noah was inside my wife’s tummy, this year I actually got to hang out with him! Lots of people tell me “Happy First Father’s Day” today, and I lovingly reminded them it was my second! I was loving on Noah just as much this time last year as I am today!
It’s so great being a father! I feel like I was built for this, I love it!
I can’t believe God would allow me to be a dad to this little guy, and a husband to my fantastic wife. I seriously mean it when I say I am blessed. I know people throw that word around a lot, but I really am. I wouldn’t have imagined in a million years that The Lord would do all that He was done in my life. I’m so undeserving of the life I live, which deepens my affection for The Lord even more. Life is good. God is better.

I'm not really sure how I stumbled upon your delightful blog, but I am so glad that God led me to it. I look forward to following Noah's life for years to come and pray that he becomes everything that God intended for him when he was knit together in his mother's womb. Many blessings on this new day filled with new compassions!

Thanks so much for your blog! We recently found out our unborn son has Down syndrome. Blogs like yours are helping us find peace. It's still a roller coaster of emotions but I have hope.
By the way, your son is so adorable! Love the blue eyes...we are actually considering the name Noah :)
God bless,
Annie
I am impressed with Noah's milestone development. it really gives me courage as a mother. i have a seven months baby who was also diagnosed with this condition but the doctor said his condition is mild, and it was not easy to recognize early. wish you all the best and willing to learn more from you!
