Noah Shares Some Of His Favorite Toys

Today Noah and I decided to play around with some green fabric and Final Cut Pro X. Considering this was my fist time using key frames, I thought the video ended up pretty cool. I especially like the way the Motion background tuned out. One thing I really like about FCPX is how well it keyed out the green screen. I seriously just put the green fabric over a book shelf in our dining room and shot. It wasn’t evenly light, nor was it “tight” (there were tons of wrinkles in the material), but FCPX didn’t seem to mind at all.

Making these daily videos has given me an excuse to dust off the old video editing skills from my Adobe Premier days. It’s been fun making them. I’m also investing some time this summer learning Apple Motion, which I’ve wanted to learn for some time. I’m sure you’ll see the fruit of my work in upcoming videos. It’s going to be so fun when Noah get’s a little older so we can make some fun videos together!

Our son born with Down Syndrome has amazing eyes

You

I know the video is pretty “rough,” but as I type this is a little after 3 am. I need to try to get at least a few hours of sleep! 🙂

I hope you enjoy the video…I had a lot of fun making this one!

  1. Great job. Whole new level.

  2. It probably wasn’t even Chroma green either. Which means that you might be able to use any color cloth to be able to do that. FCPX is awesome! Good job on the video. The fruit of your labor, and non-sleep paid off this time. I look forward to seeing more from you and little Noah.

  3. Wow I’ve love Noah’s super blue eyes. He’s really a star.
